Slip casting with plaster mold is an industrial process used to duplicate multiples. The simplicity of the technique allows the studio artist to make identical art pieces and the flexibility to alter the form in a short time. In this workshop, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of basic plaster mold making and slip casting. Students will have hands-on practice to make the prototype, cast the prototype in plaster and slip cast into final product. Students will have the opportunity to make a simple mold either from a readymade object or use the throwing wheel to make the prototype
