Private vernissage and inauguration of Urban:ness: Encountering the City, as part of SG50 celebrations of Singapore's Golden Jubilee. A celebratory evening with a bespoke edible food art installation by Janice Wong, a celebrity desert chef from Singapore who was named as the best pastry chef in Asia by the top 50 restaurants in the world (2013, 2014).
Janice Wong will create Diamond Pardes. The piece will consist of 2500 Chocolate White Gold diamonds. Inspired by the diamond cubic crystal structure which is a repeating pattern of 8 atoms. Each of these minimal white chocolate diamond consists of different flavors and taste of Singapore.
Singapore, a city in a garden, a Paradise for all. Chef Janice Wong has created this piece of art with thousands of white chocolate diamonds, and Chilli Padi, kaffir lime salted caramel and Praline poprocks, Kopi-o Chocolate bon bons. A first of its kind, Taste Singapore flavors through the art.

Dina Saadi will also be completing Amusing Ourselves to Death live on the night. A mural work, conceived in collaboration with Zaki Razak, the piece forms part of Urban:ness: Encountering the City and will be a permanent installation at DUCTAC.
The opening night is by invitation only, and the exhibition will be open to the public from October 22nd at 10am, with ongoing public events until November 10th.
