sara al haddad

a recent fulbright foreign exchange scholarship grantee, sara al haddad received an MFA in sculpture from maryland institute college of art and a BFA in visual communication from the american university in dubai. she has completed residencies at dubai community theatre & arts centre and a.i.r., dubai, and has also presented two solo exhibitions in dubai, one at pavilion downtown in 2012 and another at gallery of light in 2013. her a.i.r. residency culminated in an open studio exhibition parallel to SIKKA art fair and in commissioned site-specific works for art dubai projects, art dubai fair, madinat jumeirah. additionally, al haddad has recently been featured in a variety of group exhibitions including not really here at platform gallery, baltimore; beyond at abu dhabi art; a space, not a place: home at fox 3 gallery, baltimore; and in the group performance, women’s work, at the walters art museum, baltimore.
